Awesome April Audio Aids | Jenngem
I don't know about you, but music just takes me away to a different place. It helps me get stuff done. My Spotify has over 2,500 songs on it and just grows the more I find music that I like. Just like February's and March's playlist, here's April's! I'm writing my monthly playlist post a bit early this month because I had surgery on Wednesday. Now I'm back with some neat-o sweet-o music!

1. I Wish I Could Be A Disney Princess

Okay, so who doesn't want to be a Disney Princess? I mean, I do! This song just makes me giggle, so I had to share with you guys. Everytime it pops up on my playlist I laugh.
I really want horse-mice!

2. I'll Cover You

Oh lord, how I love RENT! I've watched it at least 15 times so far since discovering it. My husband always leaves the room when I watch it, but I don't think he knows the significance of it for me, it being about fighting AIDS and all (dad died from AIDS). That, and I cry at that one scene, every time. If you've seen it, you'll know which scene I'm talking about. But I also love this song because it also reminds me of my husband and I!
With a thousand sweet kisses...

3. All My Money

My sister introduced me to the Aquabats. They are good for a laugh, they are just an all around fun band. They also had a short run on The Hub channel, The Aquabats Supershow, which Syrus of course loved. Also, all my money. The struggle is real.
I spent all my money, I can't believe myself!

4. Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop

Seriously, I think this song was written for my husband and I. Our first date, and many many after that was Starbucks! We bonded over our mutually shared love for the sweet caffeinated nectar of the gods. Should've made it our first dance song, but pregnant me was all like "I need something with a vintage-y vibe!" Oh, pregnancy hormones.
I think that maybe I've possibly fallen for you...

5. You and I

My husband and I just love this song. In fact, when we're in the car and it comes on we'll belt it out and hold hands. We're mushy like that. And we will put the lonesome on the shelf....

6. Sober

I don't know, maybe it's because our six year anniversary is coming up, but I'm lovin' on the love songs. Now, I don't drink (medical reasons), but I love this song, so, so much.
I love being in love, it's the best kind of drug...

7. When A Fire Starts To Burn

This is almost literally the same words being said over and over. But it's so catchy! I love it and have been listening to it a ton. Also, it totally annoys my husband, and I'm all over that.
When a fire starts to burn...

8. Fruitcakes

Ah, I never did like Jimmy Buffett, but then again, Jeremy waltzes into my life and changes everything, including my taste in music. I think certain parts of this song describe current political issues fairly well. Plus, there are GIANT DANCING FRUITCAKES.
There's a little bit a fruitcake left in every one of us....

9. When The Saints Go Marching In

It's no secret that I adore acapella music, yet another thing my husband introduced me to. I have a whole playlist on Spotify dedicated to it! This is probably my favorite song, though. Plus, I love the choir's name. The Whiffenpoofs....whiffenpoofs. It sounds like a spell out of a Harry Potter book.....Whiffenpoof!

10. Nothing Without Love

The voice should sound familiar, it's Nate Ruess, frontman of the band Fun! I love his voice. It's almost ethereal in quality. In addition to Carry On and We Are Young, this is one of my favorite solo songs that he has done.
I am nothing without love....
